Ingredients: Mugwort, Damiana, Rose Petals, Rosehips, Passionflower, Raspberry Leaf, Cinnamon.
ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is a flowering plant native to northern Europe, Asia, and parts of North America. The sage-colored plant is commonly used for beer-making but is also thought to prevent or treat health conditions like anxiety, digestion problems, and irregular periods, among others.
Damiana: One of the active constituents of this herb is thymol. Many herbalists prescribe Damiana for mild to moderate depression, anxiety and nervous exhaustion. Its stimulating and restorative properties make it a valuable herb for anxiety and depression occurring together – as can often happen as a result of long term stress.
Rose Petals: Studies show that rose petals can have a relaxing effect, helping to lower stress levels and encourage sleep.
Rose Hips: They are the fruit of the rose plant. When dried, the rose hip fruit and seeds are typically collected and used to make medicine. They are high in Vitamin C and very cooling for the body. It is also rich in vitamins B1, B2, B3, K, and A. Moreover, it also contains carotenoids and flavonoids. Because of its high nutritional content, rose hip fruit has been found to be useful for relieving several symptoms of adrenal fatigue. Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome (AFS) typically occurs as a consequence of exposure to chronic or continuous stress.
Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) was used traditionally in the Americas and later in Europe as a calming herb for anxiety, insomnia, seizures, and hysteria. It is still used today to treat anxiety and insomnia. Scientists believe passionflower works by increasing levels of a chemical called gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA lowers the activity of some brain cells, making you feel more relaxed.
Raspberry Leaf: Raspberry Leaf is considered a ‘tonic’ herb; it tones and supports the body in general. Red Raspberry Leaf tones the uterus, improves the quality of labor contractions, improves quality of sleep, decreases feelings of anxiety and nervousness, and decreases constipation. It is also high in calcium which makes it great for osteoporosis.
Cinnamon: Cinnamon has been used medicinally for thousands of years. It helps to clear the mind, calm the nervous system so the body can relax, can help reduce stress and keeps you grounded.
