 ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS

Lemon Balm: Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), a member of the mint family, is considered a calming herb. It was used as far back as the Middle Ages to reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion (including gas and bloating, as well as colic).

Elderberry and Berries: The berries and flowers of elderberry are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that  boost your immune system. They could help tame inflammation, lessen stress, and help protect your heart, too.  Elderberry helps prevent and ease cold and flu symptoms.

Hyssop: Hyssop is used for digestive and intestinal problems including liver and gallbladder conditions, intestinal pain, intestinal gas, colic, and loss of appetite. It is also used for respiratory problems including coughs, the common cold, respiratory infections, sore throat, and asthma.

Nettle: Nettle, or stinging nettle, is a shrub that comes from northern Europe and Asia. Nettle has historically been used to treat pain and sore muscles, especially related to arthritis.Nettle is high in plant chemicals called polyphenols. A review of the research on polyphenols suggests that these powerful compounds may play a role in the prevention and management of chronic diseases related to inflammation, such as diabetes, obesity, cancer, and heart disease. Nettle also contain potent antioxidants, which are substances that protect the body from aging and cell damage.

Rose Hips: They are the fruit of the rose plant. When dried, the rose hip fruit and seeds are typically collected and used to make medicine. They are high in Vitamin C and very cooling for the body. It is also rich in vitamins B1, B2, B3, K, and A. Moreover, it also contains carotenoids and flavonoids. Because of its high nutritional content, rose hip fruit has been found to be useful for relieving several symptoms of adrenal fatigue. Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome (AFS) typically occurs as a consequence of exposure to chronic or continuous stress.

Lemongrass: Lemongrass is used as a folk remedy to promote sleep, relieve pain, and boost immunity. Lemongrass contains several antioxidants, which can help scavenge free radicals in your body that may cause disease. It is a great remedy for upset stomach, stomach cramping, and other digestive problems.

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) was used traditionally in the Americas and later in Europe as a calming herb for anxiety, insomnia, seizures, and hysteria. It is still used today to treat anxiety and insomnia. Scientists believe passionflower works by increasing levels of a chemical called gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA lowers the activity of some brain cells, making you feel more relaxed.

Raspberry Leaf: Raspberry Leaf is considered a ‘tonic’ herb; it tones and supports the body in general. Red Raspberry Leaf tones the uterus, improves the quality of labor contractions, improves quality of sleep, decreases feelings of anxiety and nervousness, and decreases constipation. It is also high in calcium which makes it great for osteoporosis.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon has been used medicinally for thousands of years. It helps to clear the mind, calm the nervous system so the body can relax, can help reduce stress and keeps you grounded.
