Selenite is a calming, uplifting, and easygoing stone.

Selenite is a form of gypsum. Selenite occasionally form clear, transparent crystals, but is most often seen in it’s translucent to opaque form. This form that appears white and fibrous is Satin Spar Selenite. Most of the Satin Spar form is from Morocco while the clear form is from Mexico.

A high energy healing crystal, it is best known for it’s cleansing and purifying capabilities. It is also a highly protective crystal. it can be use to cleanse the aura and the aura of other crystals. Use selenite to to connect with the moon cycle, sacred feminine, intuition, and emotions. Use this crystal to help reveal things that are being hidden from you, (i.e. if you suspect someone is being dishonest.) Selenite will help things become clear and transparent.

Selenite is named after the Greek goddess Selene. Large, thin sheets of Selenite were once used for window panes and smaller sheets for eye glasses.
